Was Blake supposed to star in Beastly?

Hey Gossip Girl, this rumor is true! Blake Lively may rule the Upper East Side on TV, but she was indeed supposed to play Vanessa Hudgens' character in Beastly. However, Blake turned it down because of a scheduling conflict. She was bummed, but Blake knows that things happen for a reason. "If you want something badly, let it go," she says. "If it comes back to you, then it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never yours to begin with."
