And I've always been famous, you just didn't know it yet," she had people confused. Did we forget that she was a child star? Not exactly, "I was in Three Billy Goats Gruff when I was in kindergarten," she says. While Gaga didn't act or sing on a professional stage as a kid, she did play at open mic nights in Manhattan by age 14. But her true first taste of fame was just what you think- when "Just Dance" became a hit in 2008. But in Gaga's defense, her family has always seen her as a star. She explains, "I was a ham as a little girl, and I'm a ham today."
