Is The Vampire Diaries getting a spin off?

Every Friday, the M staff can't stop talking about the last night's episode of The Vampire Diaries and soon enough, we'll have so much more to talk about! That's right, The CW recently announced a spin-off show called The Originals that'll tell the backstory of original vampires like Klaus and his family. The new series will be introduced during a special episode of The Vampire Diaries airing April 25th. "There's so much more to this story," producer Julie Plec says. How exciting!
