Did Leighton Use bribes to get her Gossip Girl role?

Leighton Meester gets what she wants! A few years ago, The Roommate star moved to New York City from Los Angeles, and her luggage got lost on the flight over. The broke gal had no clothes, but she was about to audition for Gossip Girl. "I saw this pair of red leopard print Marc Jacob's shoes, turned to my mom, and said, "If I buy them, I Can't pay rent," Leighton says. "Mom just said, "Rent can wait." Leighton didn't bribe a casting director with the fancy shoes that she wore them to get in character! "As I bought them, I imagined that these would be the shoes that would win me the part," she says. "They did." Hmm... where can I get a pair?!
